SPLURGE, a home décor and jewelry shop at 39 Lewis Street is partnering with Kids in Crisis and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County to collect Easter baskets for children in need. Cellophane wrapped Easter baskets can be filled with items for children aged 2 to 17 and can include toys, journals, games, personal care items, gift cards, packaged healthy snacks and traditional Easter candy. Baskets can then be dropped off at SPLURGE through Wednesday, April 1. This is the eighth year the store is participating in this program. Additionally, the Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at SPLURGE on Saturday, March 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Photographer Cathy Wilson Ramin will take photos of children with the Easter Bunny. Everyone will receive a free 4 x 6 portrait and all shoppers will enjoy 20 percent off photo frames purchased during the event.
